The three-day conference will feature 200 participants, including approximately 80 national and 120 international scholars, with around 120 research papers being presented. Keynote speeches at the inaugural session will be delivered by Professor Krishnan Unni from the University of Delhi, India, and former Vice-Chancellor of Far-Western University, Nepal, Professor Ammaraj Joshi. The panel discussion, a major highlight of the event, will focus on literature and its connection with nature. Prominent academics such as Professor Krishnachandra Sharma, Professor Anand Sharma, Professor Ramchandra Poudel, and Professor Jiblal Sapkota will lead these discussions. The research papers will cover various sub-themes, including environment, identity, spirituality, imagination, forests and gardens, wildlife, and the beauty of natural landscapes. Additionally, topics such as mountains and mountaineering, plains and potentials, deserts, mystery, risks, rivers and their reflections, oceans, and travel literature will also be explored.

The conference aims to provide a new intellectual perspective on the relationship between literature, culture, and the environment, offering fresh insights into how humans, nature, and modern technology are intertwined. The growing impact of commercialization across the world will also be addressed.

This MELOW International Conference is expected to inspire a re-evaluation of these relationships from a new perspective, promoting intellectual curiosity, interaction, and a culture of debate while strengthening existing literary ideologies and theoretical frameworks.
